[mukbang with THIEN]: Spider Crab & Manila Clams

The SPIDER CRAB (or SHEEP CRAB) may look frightening but don't let that stop you from enjoying the video; shellfish is one of my all-time favorite kind of foods. I really take it upon myself to tackle all types of shellfish, and to challenge myself with eating them. Crab cracking is an art and can only be accomplished with dedication - even if there may be a scarce amount of crab meat to be had.
Normally, I use my teeth to crack open Dungeness crab shells but the Spider crab and its outer shell was on a whole "nother" level. I attempted to open the shell with a pair of scissors but I failed miserably. Unfortunately, I didn't have a proper crab cracker laying around, so I had to result to a mallet.
The manila clams were delicious and juicy! I listed the recipe below so that you are able to re-interpret this recipe at home. Please follow directions on how to properly clean your shellfish.
**Note: I had a an issue with the camera shutting off during filming and lost about 5-10 minutes of footage. I was talking about my cousins wedding this past weekend and was on the subject of marriage. I hope that clears everything up.
Enjoy!

// MANILA CLAMS RECIPE
5 oz. Fresh Manila Clams
1/2 tbsp of finely chopped ginger (or freshly grated)
1/2 tbsp of finely chopped garlic (or freshly grated)
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
1/2 cup of Chinese cooking wine (substitute: mirin)
// CLEANING AND STORING MANILA CLAMS
1. Rinse and scrub the clams under cold water to remove dirt from outer shell.
2. Submerge the clams in fresh water with 1/4 cup of salt and leave in the fridge for 2 hours; this step will allows the clams to purge.
3. Once the 2 hours are up, rinse the clams two more times.
4. If you do not intend on using the clams immediately, arrange the clams on a flat plate and cover them with a damp towel and leave them in the fridge (30-35 degrees Fahrenheit); this process should help keep them alive for the next 2-3 days.
