👋 Hi y’all, I’ve been wanting to do a video on weight loss/eating in general for a very long time. This is one of those topics that constantly has misinformation and myths associated with it that just refuse to die!

This is Ep# 5 of WebMed Series, shot primarily in Hindi/Urdu

وزن کم کرنے کے مفید طریقے ایک ڈاکٹر کے زبانی
اردو زبان میں

The main 10 Tips I discussed were as below:
1. Calories in and out is the answer
2. Exercise aids but is not primarily the answer for weight loss
3. Weighing yourself will not help - may even slow progression
4. Diets and diet fads do not help - diet pills, powders, teas, shakes etc
5. Healthy habits with enough fibre to sustain hunger is the answer
6. There is no link between eating at certain times in relation to weight loss
7. Most Asian diets lack protein
8. The more carbs you eat the faster you'll be hungry
9. Protein and fat should be your goal, carbs should be an accompaniment
10. Intermittent fasting can help you reach your goal weight faster

Myth 1 - Fats are bad
Myth 2 - Not eating at all will result in significant weight loss
Myth 3 - My diet pill / shake / tea works

Bonus Tip 1 - Get your thyroid and sex hormone levels checked if weight loss is significantly harder for you
Bonus Tip 2 - Small frequent meals instead of 1 large meal

As some of you may already know I am a Doctor by profession. I am not practicing at the moment so I decided to make videos like this in my free time so I can reach Urdu and Hindi speakers who may not otherwise have access to this information.

I hope you like my effort. If there is a specific topic you’d like me to address, please feel free to comment!

Thanks!
