In this video showing you how easy it is to grow the variegated spider plant houseplant.
Spider plants seem to do ok in good lighting, adequate moisture and good soil.
This type of houseplant can also be grown outside in a frost free area, but bring in , in the fall if you want to save it.
Spider plants produce many offsets or I should say baby spider plants, you can leave this on the parent plant, cut them off , and or plant them in their own pot and repeat the cycle of growing an adult plant. Propagation is easy with the spider plant.
The variegated spider plant also seeds and what I noticed is it grows to a solid green plant making them not true from seed of the parent plant.
It does not take very long to get several plants of the spider plants , they grow fast and are a pretty easy carefree plant provided you give them all they need to grow.
You can grow the spider plant in baskets or standing containers they do well in each, but make sure you have some depth so the baby spider plant cascade over the pot.
If you are looking for a easy to start with houseplant I would definitely recommend this plant.
