BABY Pinktoe Tarantulas! Feeding & Breeding MINATRIX

Dislike 0 Published on 18 Jan 2019

There are only a few other tarantula species out there which are better looking in my opinion - Avicularia minatrix (Venezuelan Redstripe) from Venezuela truly is a remarkable arboreal tarantula species from northern South America.

With a body length of a little over 3cm it is a true dwarf tarantula - meaning that this tarantula species does not belong to one of the largest tarantulas out there.
In fact, it's quite a small one - but a very colorful tarantula! With it's black herringbone tiger pattern on the abdomen, the colors are striking!

Watch our recent episode to have a sneak peak of the recent breeding of Avicularia minatrix - bought as a gravid female tarantula at a show, the spider quickly laid an eggsack and after around 8 weeks this is the result - a number of healthy baby pinktoe tarantulas is having a blast in Mrs. Minatrix home.
