This is the bizarre moment a thirsty snake was given a potentially life saving drink by a good Samaritan in an arid desert.
The alluring footage shows the reptile eagerly taking in the water through a syringe as a someone, who can't be seen, pushes the plunger down and expels the liquid.
As the water runs out the snake appears to approach the syringe for more but when it realised there is none left turns away.
Throughout the short clip water can be seen dropping down the snake's body as thirstily drank every last drop it was offered in the Empty Quarter desert also known as the Rub' al Khali
The video was uploaded online earlier this week and on LiveLeak it has received over 130,000 views.
Information with the clip suggests the footage was taken in Saudi Arabia where temperatures can reach 41 degrees Celsius in May and up to 56 degrees Celsius in the height of summer.
Plenty of comments from viewers have praised the person who offered the water although others feel they had put themselves in danger as the area does have a number of venomous snakes.
One wrote: 'Poor snake did look parched. Nice.'
Another commented: 'That was one of the coolest things I've seen. Kudos to that individual that likely saved this snakes life.'
However others argued that they wouldn't go too close to such a creature.
One said 'I wonder if it would bite him after that... are animals grateful? Some surely are. But snakes? I don't know!'
'That snake will turn on a dime and try to kill you,' a more negative comment read.
