SNAKE BITE! It's bound to happen! What happens when the snake misses the mouse!

First snake bite where one of my ball pythons actually wrapped around me.
I can honestly say I have never been bit by any of my ball pythons while feeding them. That 24 year record ended today when my Spied ball python Zeus (who's a wild eater at that) Grabbed my finger while feeding him a mouse and he decided to wrap around me as well.
Now, I've taken my share of snake bites and those of you who have been bitten by a snake know that it's more fear than pain. However, at the chance that a constrictor bites you and constricts you as well because he confused you for his meal is MUCH MORE painful than your average bite because not only has he just bitten you but he's now increasing pressure on the bite and trying to stop your heart beat with his grasp.
To avoid a snake bite, most people feed their mice using tongs. I, myself, feed all of my ball pythons with tongs which limits my chances of getting bit, however, my ball python Zeus... who is a spider pied ball python eats in a blind-feeding type of way... meaning he just tries to grab anything out there. And today.. I didn't see him coming.
All of my ball pythons are very tame and none of them bite on a given day... However, feeding time is different. The smells are out there and anything waving itself in front of their mouths is potentially food.... so i definitely don't hold that against him.
It's the first snake bite of the year and hopefully the last!
---PSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH .... yeah right!!
