Feeding Thamnophis Radix (Plains Garter Snakes)

An amazing snake species to own. they sport different coloured stripes. The way they feed is amazing.
They are a very good beginner species only growing up to a foot and a half in length!

They are native to most of central America as far as Texas Garter Snakes is a species of Nartricine Snakes (Natricine snakes are a sub family of the Colubridae family of snakes, which comprises 28 genera. Members include many very common snake species, such as the European grass snakes, and the North American water snakes and garter snakes, nerodia, Rhabdophis keel back snakes and more.

They can be found in forests, by streams and ponds, wetlands and meadow. They are often found by water. Hunting they're prey which are amphibians, worms and small fish. They also eat rodents and small birds. As you can see from the video they are amazing hunters, fast and agile.

Mildly venomous.
