This is Strawberry Shortcake having Lunch. Her name given to her by my 5 year old daughter Madeline. I found her on the road with a slab of molten asphalt on its tail. Her tail is fully rehabilitated and was released back in Lapham Peak State Park. I said Bruce Garter snake in the video - but it was a lapse in brain function. This is the rare Butler Garter snake (Thamnophis butleri) native to a small patch in west Waukesha county Wisconsin.
