Garter Snake Feeding Video

Hey guys!
This is a video on my one year old red-sided garter snake, Rita, eating a couple of pinkie mice.
Note: f/t pinkies are an ok food to feed and do not contain the enzyme that is found in certain species of fish and other foods that destroys the vitamin-B complex, thiamine.
***Things to NOT feed your garter snake: Rosey reds, comet, or any type of goldfish, and RED RIGGLERS. These all contain the dangerous enzyme that will kill your snake in the long run.
Instead, substitute these every now and then with chunks of trout or salmon(with a light dust of calcium once every month), silversides, guppies, and night crawlers (also with a dust of calcium once a month). A combo of each is best, as it provides diversity to your snakes' diets. There are also a number of other things to feed your garters but make sure to do your research before feeding any of your snakes.
