Northern Water Snake - Very Real

On the rocks, a northern water snake sun bathes and worms his cold-blooded body. He stays quite still as he sees me nearby, hoping that I am not a threat and that he won't need to flee or fight. His God-given camouflage kept him from my sight for more time than I care to admit, but his slight coiling movement at my approach tipped me off, and I'm glad it did.
