A dog surprises a breeding pair of copperheads and ends up with a snake bite. Fortunately, it was a mild envenomation. The dog was nearly fully recovered by the next day. The copperheads were removed by Southeastern Reptile Rescue. The snakes will either be relocated or kept in captivity to assist with public educational programs.
