Brahminy Blind Snake--Doing Well in Florida Lawns

Brahminy Blind Snake, Ramphotyphlops bramina, a tiny exotic doing well and breeding in Florida. It was introduced from Asia and is common in South Florida and established in sod nurseries. It does not need to mate to reproduce (parthenogenic)! It eats termites and ant larvae and lives mostly underground. This one came from Melbourne Beach, Florida--brought to me by one of the Rangers that works with me at the park. Cool.
