Wild Rat Grooming Itself - Very Tame!

This was one of three small mice/rats I saved from my cats in one night. Usually I take them in a container to the reserve and release them, but when I let this guy out, instead of running away, he climbed onto this perch and started grooming himself! Later on I gave him some cheese, and even when a neighbourhood cat came up to him, he just kept on eating. I moved him further down the street after that (he continued eating the cheese while I moved him). No wonder my cats caught him in the first place, he was just so tame!
