What and How I Feed My Adult Rats

Rats are omnivores, they can eat a huge variety of food - but what should you be considering when choosing what and how to feed your pet rats? We all have different resources available to us as pet owners, in this video I share why I chose to not feed a nugget based diet and that feeding for enrichment has shaped how and what I feed my rat.
Rats are omnivores just like us, and can thrive on a number of diets so long as the amount and their nutritional requirements are being met for their current life stage. In the UK the complete nugget offering available isn't great, so I've chosen to use a pre-made mix from Rat Rations and I feed the required supplements to make their core diet complete. Everything else from fresh veggies to Halloween Pumpkin Pie is extra on top of that!
