Hand feeding an orphaned wild baby roof rat whose mother was poisoned

Someone brought us two tiny, wild baby rats, whose mother was poisoned. They were very skinny, hypothermic and close to death. In this video, my daughter is cradling one of them to keep it warm, while feeding it milk from a syringe. Thank goodness they are both still able to eat and, once they were fed and warmed up, they seemed to regain a lot of their strength. Check back later to see how they are doing!
We will also post updates in out blog at: www.ocdumbos.com
