Being a rat in a rattlesnakes world!

Ever wonder what it would be like as a rodent wandering around a Rattlesnake den?!

Here it is from the rats perspective! (Not a live rat of course! We don't feed our animals any live vertebrates).

Rattlesnakes tend to bite their prey, inject venom and then let go. As they wait for the bite to take effect, they follow the scent trail of their own venom to find where the rodent may have scurried off to. This stops them mistakenly following another rodents trail.
