Hairless rat mother takes care of orphaned hamster babies!

(FYI: the cage is not very clean because I did not want to remove the scents left behind from her rat pups, I still am a little leery of changing the bedding and want to wait until the hamsters are a bit stronger)

PLEASE PLEASE don't ever try and have another species raise babies, specially rats. This should only be tried as a drastic measure and can have horrible and heartbreaking results. As much as I trust my sweet rat Ren.. I am still planning to remove the babies right at weaning age for their safety. Also weaning my rat babies at 3.5 weeks was a bit early, and it is best for them to stay with their mother a little longer.
