How To Care For Rats: Housing

All of us rat owners know there are a lot of videos out there that give very bad advice on how to take care of rats... This is my first in a series of videos I'm making to try and provide accurate information for the well-meaning rat owner. One thing to keep in mind is the number of rats that I say can go in each cage is the MAXIMUM. Many people suggest knocking a few rats off that number; and I think that's a good idea. Maximum values are usually used by things like rescues, because they can be pressed for space sometimes. So spoil your ratties and get them a bigger cage than they need! ;)
And don't forget, no matter how big your cage is, your rats need a minimum of an hour out of cage time a day to play and interact with you! The closer you get to the maximum number of rats in a cage, the more time outside the cage your rats will need.
