Includes our life-saving bio yogurt/water mix for preventing dehydration in sick rats. Always mix the yogurt and water just before you want to use it and make a fresh batch each time. See the end of the video for more details. We prefer not to syringe medicines into our rats, but if you do have to, take care, be very gentle and slowly syringe the medicine into the side of your rats mouth, you dont want to choke them. We prefer to mix medicines in a little bio yogurt or fruit from a corner yogurt.Crushed cheerio or digestive biscuit can be mixed with crushed tablets and sprinkled on yogurt just before you give it to your rat, but dont leave it standing as it will go all thick and soggy. If you use malt paste you should dilute it with a little olive oil and water so it is not a thick gloopy choking hazard. Always give foods that are easy for sick rats to eat and digest and avoid heavy sticky foods which can cause choking such as peanut butter.
