Rats & their Babies!

Rats are some of the most intelligent and clean animals on the planet. They make fabulous animal companions, and so I did everything I could to help rescue as many as I could. The first rat and babies you'll see weren't rescues. The mother, Patsy, was part of a breeding program I was doing. I bred her once a year. This was her second and actually last litter. The rest of the rats were rescues who were brought to me by people who got them as pets from local petstores and when they ended up giving birth the people didn't want them anymore. I rescued a lot of animals, sick, pregnant, or abused that came from those pet stores. I tried to get the stores shut down due to animal abuse, dead animals in cages, etc. Animal control never did a thing to them, but they came after me taking all the animals they could make money off of and sold them all to local pet stores where the animals ended up going as snake food or dying in the store. Are you as disgusted as I am? Well, at least I do have happy memories of the animals I was able to rescue/rehabilitate and find new homes for.
