Can Rabbits Eat Grass?

Yes, rabbits can eat grass but there are some things you need to be careful of before you let your rabbit loose on your lawn. In nature rabbits eat a wide range of plants and vegetation, and grass makes up a decent portion of their diet during spring and early summer.

Grass tends to contain more nutrients early in it's growth phase, and the tender blades of grass are easier for a rabbit to digest. Other common plants found in lawns like clover and other legumes also provide much needed protein in rabbits diet.
