Feeding Wild Rabbits At The Hiroshima Poison Gas Factory

On the island of Okunoshima in the Hiroshima Perfecture of Japan was the Tadanoumi poison gas factory. This was built in 1929 and ran until 1945. This mainly produced mustard gas, but made other poisons as well. The island has a museum dedicated to poison gas that is well worth looking at. The factory did use rabbits to test the poison gas, but these rabbits were released into the wild well after the factory was demolished. We brought pellet food meant for rabbits with us to feed them. These pellets are sold at the ferry to get to the island. A great site for urban exploration.
