How I Hand Feed Young Rabbit Kits

This is the best way that I have found to hand feed young rabbit babies when needed. I use a clean latex-free makeup sponge that I cut at an angle to make it easier for the kit to latch on. I wrap the kit in a towel so that they don't squirm so much.
Rabbit milk is VERY rich, and this is the recipe that I have had the most success with:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup goat milk (raw or canned)
2 tablespoons of corn syrup or molasses
1 teaspoon pedialyte or gatorade
1 egg yolk
Mix well, and warm portion to feed. Left overs can be frozen in ice cube trays, and warmed up at feeding time. Feed twice a day.
