How to approach and pat an aggressive rabbit

This video shows an example of the right and wrong ways to approach an aggressive rabbit. From a rabbit's eye level perspective, you can better understand why they might feel threatened and also emboldened to attack when a hand moves towards them at their level. They tend to submit when a flat hand moves steadily down from above, which in turn allows them to relax and enjoy being petted.
Most rabbits learn to enjoy human contact and do not care at all how you approach them. However for the rabbits who have learned to react poorly to being approached, bringing your hand down from above (instead of coming at them sideways or diagonally) is the best way to prevent it from becoming a confrontation and instead allows it be a positive interaction.
