Injections may be a necessary part of your pet's treatment. Fill the syringe with the specified quantity of medicine. Tap the syringe to allow air bubbles to float to the top, then express the air and any excess medication until you reach the prescribed dose. To inject the rabbit grasp a flap of skin, insert the needle of the syringe through the skin and into the flap created. To ensure you have not hit a blood vessel pull the plunger back slightly and check for blood. If blood is present withdraw the syringe and needle and start again. If clear inject the medicine into your pet. Remove the syringe carefully, with your finger on the entry point and massage gently. When finished immediately replace the cap of the syringe for your own and others's safety. Please return all used syringes and needles to the hospital for proper disposal.
