Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha. Oryctolagus cuniculus includes the European rabbit species and its descendants, the world's 305 breeds of domestic rabbit. Sylvilagus includes 13 wild rabbit species, among them the seven types of cottontail.
⛏ ELEVATED RABBIT HUTCH:
An elevated rabbit hutch is a perfect home structure for your pet if you want to keep it outdoors. The height of the structure would act as a natural deterrent to lurking predators wanting to get to your pet. This would not be the case if it were at ground level. Predators such as foxes and dogs can easily try to destroy the wood or the wires. Rabbits will feel safer being farther away from the ground when there are predators about. Elevated rabbit hutches with wire mesh flooring make cleaning easier as droppings can just directly go to the ground. One thing you need to remember though is to make sure that the structure is properly anchored to the ground to avoid tipping.
