Homemade DIY cheaper Pot Belly Pig food

So excuse the mess and poor video quality, but I'm sharing what I learned from another pot belly pig parent on here. I am mainly uploading the video to share with the guy who gave me the idea but also just because there is not much on the internet about pot belly pigs. Everything is just very generic. This is my first youtube upload ever so once again I did this for info purposes so ignore the poor video.

Mazuri food is a good option but it is not cheap. Given that one of my pigs is paralyzed and has cost me a fortune, I'm always looking for ways to save money that does not take away from their happiness. This DIY mixture seems to be as healthy or healthier, taste better if how fast they ate it is a sign, and I estimate it to save me $40- $60 every 12 to 14 weeks. It takes a little longer to mix it but like seconds out of the day so no big deal. Do not feed this to baby pot bellies as they need extra nutrients. Only feed this to pigs active adult age and elder age. Also never put any sweet anything, no sweet corn, no sweet pellets or you will put too much weight on them. Given that this seems to be more nutritious than mazuri active I am starting my pigs out with a little less than I feed in Mazuri. Instead of 2 cups per day, I am doing 1.5 cups per day and will adjust as needed. My pigs let me know when hungry. I can tell the difference between hungry and just wanting to eat as I've had them for going on 3 years.

The mix I am using is 2 cups of horse pellets, 1 handful of cracked corn, 2 handfulls of whole oats (or rolled oats). This is my own made up mixture. The other youtube gentleman said to just use a small sprinkle of corn and to use 1 50 lbs bag of oats for every 5 bags of pellets. So the corn should last for 10 to 15 bags of pellets. Btw my handful is small because I have small hands. Once again ignore the mess. It has been raining and when it rains here I have to constantly mop after Wilbur. If you noticed the gummy vitamins in the video, I give my pigs those because I figure Miss Piggy needs extra vitamins with her spinal injury. She gets a lot of unusual special treatment. She is my lil baby.
