Hello, my name is Jill Phillips, and I'm co-owner of Squeals on Wheels, a traveling petting zoo and pony rides. My name is John Phillips. We have horses, miniature horses. We have miniature llamas and alpacas, chickens, ducks. We have bearded dragons. Our website is www.squealsonwheels.us.

Because miniature pigs are so incredibly intelligent, it's very easy to litter box train them, and they are easily litter box trained within one to five days. Pigs don't have complete control of their bowels until they're approximately six months old, so usually if you don't want any accidents, we might limit where they can go —especially after their meals. Piggies almost always do their business in one place, so if you move the piggy, then you just move the litter box with them, and they usually restart their habit. But, if they have a little accident, you have a paper towel and have a gloved hand, and you put that piggy poop right in their litter box. If they happen to urinate outside of their litter box, clean that up with a paper towel and then put that paper towel in the litter box and then they pick it up by the scent. They know where to go after that — they're very smart. We use wood chips, wood chips that have been kiln-dried and multi-screened numerous times to get rid of the dust, and that's what we use for piggy litter, and we find that very safe. Don't use cat litter, that's not safe for the piggies.
