Having a potbelly pig is so much fun... but soooo much work! Too many people (us included!) bought a baby piglet from a breeder who assures the "miniature" potbelly pig will only be 50 lbs. THIS IS NOT TURE!!! Normal, healthy potbelly pigs take 3 years to grow to it's full size, and they will be about 120-150.
Also know indoor piggy's get VERY spoiled and do not make good house pets. They should have a safe, fenced in outdoor area with plenty of room to root in the ground as well as an enclosed area where he will be warm/cool and safe from prey animals. Piggy's (especially Wally!) also need a little pool because they love water. Also know, they HATE being alone, so if you adopt, I hope you work from home! These guys are so smart (they say as smart as a 3 year old kid!), so their brains needs a steady stream of of challenging stimulation.
