False Memories Implanted Into the Brains of Mice

False memories have been implanted into the brains of sleeping mice by neuroscientists in France. The mice were then monitored after they woke up to see how the manipulation influenced their behavior.
This is the first study that shows artificial memories can be implanted into the brains of sleeping animals and provides information about the role that sleep plays in making such memories stronger. We take a look at the study, in this Lip News clip with Gabriel Mizrahi and Jo Ankier.
