A story of me and Lennie my friend
We go way back through thick and thin

The story starts when we hop off the bus
So long from our stop that I wanted to cuss
Then I found that Lennie had a dead mouse
And I threw it so far it would have cleared a house
See my friend was really big and he didn't mean wrong
But he kills a lot of stuff cause hes just so strong.
We both have these plans to own our own farm
A place where Lennie and wont cause any harm.
We found our new job and I said with remorse
That Lenny got kicked in the head by a horse
Then we met the bosses (curleys) wife and she was kinda flirty
I knew there was trouble when Lennie said she was purty
To tell you the truth there's a bunch of stuff about a dog
But I could care less so its not in my song.
Later Lennie an bosses wife are talking all alone
And the old bosses wife tells a story of her own.
Now my best friend Lennie, he wasn't all there
And he broke this girls neck just grabbing her hair.
Lennie realized what hed done and he kind stood still
But he had to run away or the other workers would kill.
I knew where hed be, weve been there before,
I found him sitting around at the rivers shore
We talked for awhile; I didnt want to seem mad
And we talked all about the plans that we had.
I said turn around: he listened to what I said
And I shot him three times in the back of the head.
I did it because I didnt want him to suffer
