Finding harvest mouse nests

This video shows you where to find harvest mouse nests and what they look like. Harvest mice build both breeding (spring) and non-breeding nests (winter) and looking for them is a great way to survey for this shy species. The Mammal Society will carry on running the National Harvest Mouse Survey this autumn/winter (2014) and the MaWSE project will be coordinating the south east aspect of it.
