Today, a young man has come in for routine callous removal. Unfortunately, this patient suffers from a skin disorder that causes excessive amounts of hard skin to grow which causes pain when it builds up.
No matter how little pressure he puts on his feet, foot products he uses or amount of callous removed, in a few weeks there will be an excessive amount of dead hard skin.
There is no real solution for this problem, only regular callous removal. This young man has a great attitude and outlook on life and stays positive despite being in discomfort all the time when he is on his feet. Let's all stay POSITIVE and hope you enjoy this video of me trying to remove as much dead skin as possible!

PS...there hasn't been a definitive diagnosis for his condition but is probably a form of palmoplantar keratoderma or pachyonychia congenita
