Bearded Dragons are lizards native to Australia. Because they are calm and friendly these lizards are popular for children. Adults reach approximately 18 to 24 inches head-to-tail when full grown.

When threatened, they pooch out their jaw and it turns black. This looks like they have a beard, which is why they are called bearded dragons.

Bearded Dragons can change the color of their skin to keep themselves cold or warm, but they can also change their skin color depending on what mood their in. You often find them to have bright colors like red and orange. Often bred to have "designer dragon" colors. These cost much more than ordinary lizards because they have morphed their colors. They morph because of breeding.
