Blue-crested Lizard

Dislike 0 Published on 30 Jul 2013

Blue-crested Lizards (Calotes mystaceus) grow 40cm long, and usually live high up in treetops. They feed on large insects, and they are very fast. They occur in Myanmar, Thailand except the peninsula, and Indo-China. Male and female of these lizards have the blue color, which can change to brown or turquoise. This species can easily be identified by the white upper lip. They are non-venomous and completely harmless.
