Southern alligator lizard and Western fence (blue-belly) lizard staking their turfs

Southern alligator lizard (Elgaria multicarinata) on pink sandstone and Western Fence lizard (blue-belly) (Sceloporus occidentalis) on black rock. Alligator lizards eat black widow spiders and Western fence lizards eat ticks that carry Rocky Mountain fever. Both lizards eat crickets that can get rather noisy when left to multiply .... So lizards are just all right with us.
