The Yangon cat was only one of the six that ate lizards, rat and insects. The owner had hand-fed him yesterday and came for a review.
The vet gives an IV drip to dilute the toxins in the blood stream and to rehydrate the cat. He recovered the next few days after being given a drip to dilute the poison in his blood stream.
Domestic cats are predators and some will kill lizards and rats but may themselves be poisoned. This owner spotted the cat being lethargic and quickly bought the cat to the Yangon vet.
