Finding And Caring For A Skink Lizard Nest Of Eggs

After chopping some wood, I turned my chopping block back up to find that I'd accidentally and unknowingly dislodged a nest of skink eggs. We put the eggs and decayed wood nest back in the chopping block, and covered it with a piece of bark to keep the direct sunlight off of it and the birds away. FYI, an hour later, we checked on it, and the mother skink was indeed back with her eggs.
