Side-Blotched LIzard Eats Scorpion

I was recently herping in west utah when the breeding colors of a common side-blotched lizard got my eye. 8 minutes were spent patiently sneaking up closer and taking photos without spooking it. Flipping a flat rock revealing 2 scorpions prompted more photographs and video and before returning the stone I stood up and saw my colorful lizard friend on a nearby rock. As still as a statue I shot more photographs and watched as he rant TOWARDS me and chomped on a scorpion! I quickly switched to video recording mode to capture this feast of scorpion. It is also interesting behavior to watch the scorpion's tail getting rubbed against a rock before being completely swallowed.
