Carletto and Guus grooming in Rome, Italy

Dislike 0 Published on 3 Oct 2013

Mutual grooming is an affectionate behavior that is possible between 2 horses regardless the age, sex, height, social rank between the two. Grooming is important for horses to bond and reinforce social structures with other horses. Grooming stimulates the release of "beta-endorphin" in the brain. This makes grooming feel very relaxing and joyfull for the participants and it is a stress reducing activity :) So good reasons to let your horse be able to groom with other horses ! In this video you see my 4 year old approved Murgese stallion and my 20 year old fjord gelding grooming each other.
