A Clydesdale is a magnificent show horse, so a good grooming goes a long way. Use a quality horse brush and start at the top of the horse's neck while gently brushing in a downwards motion towards its back. If you find any dirt on its coat, use a gentle flicking motion with the brush to whisk the dirt away. With such large hooves, dirt also gets stuck so use a hoof pick get rid of small rocks and debris. Closely inspect the hooves as well to look for injuries. Once you brush the horse and clean its hooves, use a horse comb to smooth its coat.
