In this video I talk about rising down a horse after a ride. Not leaving a saddle mark or pad mark on your horse from sweat and dirt after a ride. Taking care of your horse is good horsemanship, neglecting this is poor horsemanship. You should always rinse or brush the saddle/pad marks from you horse after a ride. When you see a horse with a sweat or dirt saddle mark or pad mark, that is very poor horsemanship and the owner or rider should be ashamed. If you can't rinse since it may be too cold, then you can groom the horse, walk him out until dry and then groom away the sweat and dirt marks.
