This video is how I use horse sheets and winter blankets for my horses during winter months. I like to use sheets and various weights of blankets depending on how the weather is outside. I also like to layer with lightweight and mediumweight horse blankets during colder weather.

It's very important to help prepare and take care of your horses during the winter months. That includes blanketing them especially if they don't have shelter, making sure you are feeding them enough, and making sure they are drinking enough water.
Blanketing your horse during winter months also depends on the individual horse and... it's body temperature, it's age, it's activity, it's coat length, how much you feed, if it has a shelter, and your climate. I live in Nevada where it's a dryer climate... and that may be different from where you live, so it's important to study your horse and pay attention to how he or she reacts to the blankets that you may use.
