This horse has not had much hoof handling and this is why such a rough way of giving hoof care is needed. People love horses to the horse's peril because they do not put time in with the horse and spend time preparing the horse for care, like vet care, hoof care or emergency transport care. That is why others have to use less than desirable measures to provide care. This is NOT a horse problem, it is an owner problem.
