I'm With Conan is a 2010 foal sired by Lord Z and out of dam Boston Harbor. Stallion breeding: Lord Z is by Fusaichi Pegasus out of Lady Secretary by Secretariat. Conan is currently racing. and has been stakes places as a two year old. A second and a third MSW, 2nd for 40k Maiden and still running to break his maiden after earning 25k as of the end of 2013. Conan is proof that racing and training young horses, PROPERLY, keep them sound and stronger as they grow. Waiting to run an older horse who has been brought along easily will almost surely cause a career ending injury since his bones and soft tissue like tendons and ligaments don't receive the stresses of training needed to adapt and remodel for the sport they are training for. An unraced, older horse's bones tend to be less dense and it requires a lot more stress to remodel a fully grown bone. This is why it's very necessary to start exercise and training yearlings whether it be riderless or with a jockey size rider. Yearlings should only be breezed at a 30 minute mile or 15 second furlongs max. When you need to move on from galloping, you should start out 1/2 furlong breezes at a 17-18 second clip. When the horse becomes used to this faster speed move on only after inspecting legs everyday for any stress injuries such as bucked shins and suspensory injuries. If a good 2-3 months of good galloping was practices, there should no be a problem with soft tissue. The bone really starts to befit from the higher speed training. There are many variables like track conditions, conformation, diet, age, size and ability for each horse so the ones that are not ready, don't push them. Never push or you will just end up with a crippled horse.

Stallion Breeding Mares:
You can breed any stallion with any mare, but the people who do their research and own well bred stallions breed to top earning mares or top producing mares. The horses breeding industry has been ruined by backyard breeders who think their stallion who earned 100k can breed to a mare which may have never raced or maybe had won 1 maiden claiming race and make a Stakes horse. Stick with commercial breeding or breed to stakes horses to have some sort of shot at making money in the horse breeding game.
