Arizona's Outlaw M.R. Missouri Foxtrotter Breeding Stallion - Lay Down

Laying down of horses is basically a simple matter and was in former times a compulsory exercise in the military. The best known method of laying horses down, is with the help of a rope, whereby this method always puts some pressure and a compulsion on the horses. There have been some serious accidents with this method. As you can see on YouTube today, there are a number of other methods that are more suitable for horses from our point of view. However, these methods are relatively time-consuming and not all horses respond to them. The Miller- Ranch has long been trying to find a horse-friendly system where the horses lie down on command. A system, which leads to success with all horses and the time expenditure is proportional. With Tom Raney, we have met a horseman with whom we are now working. Basically, Tom has the same philosophy as we do at Miller- Ranch. He also works according to the 3 seconds rule. His system is understood by the horses, and they lie down on command without any force. He worked here at Miller- Ranch with Arizona´s Outlaw M.R. not quite 10 hours in a week to achieve the result shown here. First and foremost, however, he introduced Melanie to his method, so that in the future, the horses at Miller- Ranch can show this exercise on command. But what Arizona shows here in the video is only a beginning and by no means what he will show in the future.
