12 yr-old, Double Registered, Black/Bay Mare. 15 hands.
Quarter Horse/Breeding Stock Paint, Cutting Bred, Foundation Bloodlines. Very cowy, and a very good trail horse. Might make a nice beginning heeler because she likes to chase the cows. Has been outstanding on 6 day trail rides in the bluffs of Nebraska with 100 riders on the trail, and done lots of trail riding and camping in Idaho. Walks out really nice. Have done some competitive, extreme trail challenges on her and she goes over most everything. She gets a little nervous around loud and busy commotion and needs a strong rider to give her confidence. She is not a 4-H project.
This mare rides to all cues, picks up leads, and is pretty soft on the bit. She stands quiet for mounting and knows "whoa." I've not worked a lot on collection, but she does move up into the bit when asked. She's never been lame. She loads easily, stands quietly for the farrier, clips, bathes, ties and has good ground manners. She has never been bred, but would produce really nice babies. She is current on all shots, worming, shoeing, and negative Cogins.
I'd like to see her go to someone who wants to use her for what she is suited for -- working cow horse, trail, healing, or a quality brood mare. I am selling her because I simply don't have time to ride her.
