Sorry, if I was a bit bouncy I had to much coffee when I made this video. This video just sums up what is the best foods to give your hamsters during their pregnancies and what to feed there pups for the first 3 weeks of their life. Note: When I said feed them alot of meats/proteins and fruits and veggies, still leave a bowl of seeds in there for them, but make sure you offer them hard boiled eggs (completely cooked) or boiled chicken (completely cooked), meal worms should only be given to the mother before birth. Meal worms should not be given to a baby hamster till they are at least 5 weeks old. This is because their hunting skills are not the best, and the meal worms will bite them while they sleep. Baby hamsters are not as focused on hunting as much as it is finding simple food, so carrots apples are the best with egg yoke and milk soaked bread. Though like I said, milk soaked bread is the first food you can offer the babies to make sure that they get liquid. Though, try not to touch the babies till they are 14 days. Some mama hamsters are not so protective of their babies and trust you with them. But it is hard to tell the temper of your hamster during the pregnancy and after birth. So when giving milk soaked bread just put it in a small bowl, and put it in the container or a part of the cages where mama hamster and her babies are not. The mother hamster will bring the food back for the babies, and they will eat it when they are old enough till then mama hamster gets it all to herself and it helps her produce great quality milk.
