Thanks to everyone who liked the mini DIY EOS video, as promised here is the next edible miniature video! I was inspired by the adorable miniature cake video by Miniature Space (Mini Food cake 食べれるミニチュア いちごのケーキ / Cute Miniature Strawberry Shortcake - https://youtu.be/TWW41tufSZs), and I adapted the ingredients to make it hamster friendly.
If you're making this for a pet then you MUST double-check that you're using safe ingredients. There are many pet forums where you can find safe food lists for different species. This recipe is tailored for dwarf hamsters. Just like real cake, it's supposed to be a special treat so don't feed more than one slice and remove any uneaten pieces quickly :).
DIY Miniature Cake / DIY Popin Cookin Mini Hamster Cake*
- Wholegrain Bread
- Strawberry
- Greek Yoghurt
- Coriander (or any leafy herb)
*For humans, feel free to use these ingredient substitutions:
White bread, pound cake, brioche, pancakes, whipped cream, frosting, marshmallow fluff, softened cream cheese, sprinkles, Nutella etc
1) Cut round slices of bread with a bottle cap
2) Cut strawberries into tiny pieces
3) Cover base of miniature cake with yoghurt and layer with strawberries.
4) Add top slice and cover entire mini cake with yoghurt.
5) Garnish with more strawberries and herbs
