How To Teach Your Hamster To Snuggle
Set up the cage, food, water, and exercise toys before you bring the hamster home.
Put the hamster directly into its new environment.
Leave them alone for a few days, only disturb the case as needed to change food and water (or if necessary) clean the cage.
Don’t poke fingers into the cage or allow loud noises near the cage.
Early in the evening is the best time to make strides in training.
Don’t try to hold a hamster while it’s sleeping or eating.
Start by hand-feeding it.
As the hamster takes food from you, slowly get it used to being pet.
Cup your hands around it slowly and lift.
Be calm, avoid loud noises, and be confident!
